Radiant Health Kitchen is a weekly meal delivery and catering service located in the City of Decatur and serving the Metro Atlanta Area. Chef and Owner Nancy Campbell has a master's in integrative health and nutrition, and many decades in the food industry. The idea of “food is life, and therefore we want the best for it” is at the core of our beliefs and business model. We are feeding busy families, professionals, and empty nesters ready to heat-and-eat meals from our gluten and peanut-free kitchen. Allergen-conscious food is at the core of our work, providing healthy food that our clients know is safe. We are offering a light and fun work environment with a predictable and steady schedule. Our ideal candidate(s) are eager to learn, eager to contribute, and ready to help RHK grow.  

Location: Downtown Decatur

Schedule & Compensation: 

  • Option A- 28 - 35 hrs per week (Typical Schedule: 10 am - 8 pm on Sundays, 9 am to 7 pm on Mondays, 12 pm to 6 pm on Wednesdays (starting Mid-August) with additional hours on Tuesdays or Thursdays depending on catering jobs for the week)

  • Option B - 15-20 hrs per week (abbreviated schedule just Sunday and Mondays) 

  • $15 per hour is our base pay rate. Compensation range is between $15 - $25, depending on experience (with potential increase after 90 days AND room for growth)

  • W-2 Position

  • Primarily daytime and weekday hours, with Fridays and Saturdays off.  

  • Small, woman-owned business with generous support in training and upleveling skills.

  • Accrued Paid Time off at 1 hour for every 20 hours worked. Accrual starts after 60 days of employment. 

  • Family meal provided each day. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare menu ingredients following verbal instruction and/or recipes to produce consistent results.

  • Complete prep list, maintain station throughout shift, follow all specifications, and stock items as needed.

  • Rinse and cut raw food products with precision and consistency. In other words, you must have knife skills. 

  • A keen eye for detail and efficiency in your workflow. 

  • Prepare items for broiling, grilling, sautéing, or other cooking methods based on recipe requirements.  

  • Ideally able to operate a sauté, grill, and flat top station with high volume.  

  • Handle, store, rotate, and label all products properly.

  • Follows sanitization standards, ensuring your work station stays clean and organized, and follows all food handling standards.

  • Assistance with dishwashing and maintaining kitchen cleaning protocol throughout your shift to ensure a “clean as you go” motto is followed. 

  • Closing down the kitchen for the day, which can include dishwashing, wiping down equipment and surfaces, sweeping, mopping, taking out trash, and recycling.

  • Supporting your co-workers as needed to ensure a timely execution of the product. Nourishing a team, a get-it-done mentality with daily deadlines as the priority.  

  • Occasional run to a grocery store.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent attention to detail and keen ability to execute multi-level instructions independently.  

  • Ability to work well on a team.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently.   

  • Ability to stand for long periods and be agile in tight spaces.  

  • Outstanding sense of customer service and pride in your work. 

  • Some kitchen experience is required. An ideal background includes large batch cooking (i.e., cooking for 100+ people at a time) for institutions and/or catering operations. 

  • Must be able to stand on your feet for long periods of time and must be able to lift 40-50lbs.
